Big Things
I have an interview today at a beautiful high school in Raleigh. It reminds me a great deal of the school that I did my internship at in Niagara Falls. In my research last night I found out that their school mascott is the wolverine… which was NFHS mascott. I hope that’s a good omen.
The interview is at 1:15. Keep your fingers crossed.
I should know this week about the final status of the “big news” I have written about vaguely. In fact, I should be much more certain of whether or not it’s happening today or tomorrow. I think it’s going to be fine, but I would like to have all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed before I write about it in detail.
Last night we took Merlin to my friend Tim’s house. We don’t have anywhere for him to be off lead and run here, and Tim has a humongous back yard. It was a good excuse to run out there and visit, as they’re going to be moving back to New York in a few weeks. Merlin absolutely loved the yard… although he was afraid of the horses in the next field over! He played well with Tim’s 3 year old daughter, Madison. He got a little over-exuberant, but he is a 7-month old puppy! It was extremely fun.
I must go to the mall before my interview. I need a couple of springy, more professional outfits for work. So I’m going to get a couple of things before the interview, then come back here and get ready. I want to take Merlin for a good walk before I leave, because he’ll be cooped up for two hours while I’m interviewing, and then we have a two hour drive home. I’m going to try to miss rush hour traffic, which means I’ll need to be in the car and on the highway before 3:45. It’ll be close.
