Send Thoughts
Last week Jake’s mom, my good friend, Patricia, underwent a hip replacement surgery. The procedure went well, and she came home on Saturday. She had been experiencing some bad cramping, but was doing relatively OK.
Today, however, we got word that she had to be hospitalized again due to severe pain and cramping. The doctors have done tests, and are unsure exactly what is wrong. Worst case scenario is another surgery, this time abdominal.
We are worried, but also optimistic. Patricia is incredibly healthy and strong, not to mention she has the most positive outlook of anyone I know. We know that she will be OK. We’re hoping, though, that she won’t have to go through another operation. She’s been through quite enough already. Hopefully we’ll hear from her partner, Fred, again soon and hear some positive news.
So, keep Patricia in your thoughts if you’re reading this. She has been such a wonderful friend to me since we first met, and she is Jake’s Mom. She has a fabulous trip to Italy planned for September… so she needs to be well for that. Send your positive energy toward Vermont.

some day some one is going to teach “Faddy” How to type and spoke. Any way my thoughts and prayers are with Patricia, and with you and Jake. All will be well I’m sure. It sounds to me like she has a bowel obstruction. Major surgery, yes, but fairly fast recovery. Call if you need us.
Love and miss you both.
