Opinion

I’m thinking of taking down ‘The Cotey Stories’ and ‘The Legacy’ until I can get them edited to at least fix the grammatical errors. In all honesty, I’m thinking of taking them down permanently. Not that any of my writing is stellar, but those stories are so incredibly rough. I was reading through them yesterday and just shaking my head at how rough they are.

So what do you guys think? Do I remove them to fix the glaring errors, and then put them back up since they were such a big part of my writing when I was 12-17 or do I retire them permanently to my external hard drive?

Also… has anyone read the story ‘Guilty’ that I posted about awhile back? I’m just wondering if anyone has any feedback on a title. Thanks!

1 Year

Today is Merlin’s first birthday.  It’s hard to believe that he once looked like this:

And now he looks like this:

There have been battles and highs and lows with him… sometimes he frustrates the living hell out of me.  Mostly he just makes me smile, because he’s a truly wonderful dog.  I’m so glad that I got him, so glad that he’s with me.

Happy Birthday Moose.

Lights

It’s like a string of Christmas tree lights.  If one goes out, the whole strand has issues.

I’m still trying to find the one that’s causing the problem.

Radiate This

I want to say thanks.

To the person who left their hubcaps on the highway.

To the person in front of me that hit them.

To the person beside me that refused to speed up or slow down so I could get over.

To the person behind me that was tailgating so I couldn’t slow down any more than I did.

Thanks.

Thanks to you there is a giant hole in my radiator that will cost almost $800 to fix.

I really appreciate it.

Three Cheers!

Some Fantastic Friday Business:

  • 3rd Grade Pretesting is done. Even after some testing problems (that were in no way my fault, yay!), I can honestly say it went very smoothly. But I’m so glad it’s done.
  • I did my first kindergarten lesson today. Seriously, could those kids be any more adorable? I can see that it’ll be challenging to do the character ed lessons in there. I’ll have to be very creative.
  • It’s raining!!! We haven’t had rain in forever, and are under severe drought.
  • Today marks 1 year and 7 months with my handsome guy. *love you Jake*
  • I got an email from my friend Gail in Plymouth *waves to G* I miss her tons, but it was great hearing from her.
  • I’m getting Two Cousin’s pizza for dinner. Holy goodness.
  • It’s Friday!!

This weekend will be pretty laid back for me. I do have to make a trip to the bank, as well as go to Cary to get a birthday gift for Courtney. Her birthday is next weekend, and I’ll be visiting P-Town to help celebrate how wonderful she is. I also need to start working on this surprise thing that I got in the email regarding a counseling plan for my school. I love how they toss stuff like that at you two weeks before it’s due!! I also need to read over my assistance team info, as I am the chairperson of that committee.

One of my main goals is to get Merlin’s scrapbook finished. His birthday is next week, and I try to limit myself to one year of memories in one book. His is at its breaking point :) With the computer that broke, I’m going to have to hook up to a monitor to get the recent pictures off. Easily done.

It’s been an insanely busy and stressful week, but I’m feeling accomplished and proud of myself. It’ll be nice to relax though.
