Important Monday Business (busyness?)
First off, I want to thank those of you who delurked! Thanks for making your presence known, and I hope you continue to drop by and say hello occasionally.
Second, how ’bout them Packers?? It was a rocky start, what with Grant’s two fumbles that led to Seahawk TDs. After that it seemed like the harder it snowed, the better the Pack did. It was a fun game to watch, and it has me pumped up about out next game vs. the New York Giants. I’ll admit, although I hate to, that the Giants have had a great season this year. (Did you read that Dad? Mark it down on your calendar because it’ll never happen again). I do not believe, though, that the Giants stand a snowball’s chance in hell of beating Green Bay at home. No way, no how. This is exciting, because it immediately leads to the idea that Green Bay has a very good chance of going to the Superbowl this year. My excitement cannot be put into words!
Third, although perhaps it should’ve been first… Happy 1.11 to Jake. It’s unbelievable to me that we are so close to two years together. In one way it seems like I can’t believe it’s been so long… and in others I feel like it’s been such a relatively short time compared to how long we will be together. It’s been a wonderful nearly-two-years, and I would not trade this man or this life for anything. So thank you, handsome guy, for all the wonderful times and fantastic awesomeness over the last 1 year and 11 months. I love you.
A conversation:
Me: Can we have the ‘Imperial Death March’ at our wedding when I go down the aisle?
Jake: Really?? *eyes gleam excitedly*
Me: …No. *pause* We could make our entrance at the wedding reception to that.
Jake: Really??
Me: Yup.
Jake: I love you.

*regarding wedding planning* now that’s the true meaning of compromise right there
Happy 1.11 to you both!!!
And FINALLY – go PACK because I think they are the only team that is going to be able to beat New England and that’s what I’m cheering for!!!

I think my boyfriend (also named Jake!) would have one of the Star Trek themes playing at our entrance at the reception. *grin*
Happy almost two years!
