Best Laid Plans

I had planned on writing something different this morning.  I was all set to say what a long week it’s been, how stressed I am about lawyers and spine specialists and how much my back hurts.  Then I was reading some of my blogroll favorites, and got to So The Fish Said, and my plan changed.

I’m not going to say much, other than tell you to go and read about Emily.  (updated: here).   My heart breaks for this little girl’s family, and for her.

And instead of feeling stressed and ticked off that my life isn’t perfect right now, I’m just thankful that it’s as wonderful as it is.

gosh, as a mother myself it just breaks my heart to read all of that. I can’t imagine… it sure does give me a renewed appreciation for my little boy sitting downstairs. I think I’ll go give him a hug :)

Well, miracles DO happen so I hope none of them give up on that notion. As an example, my sister in law had a brain tumor when she was little and they removed it… along with a very large portion of her brain… to this day the only thing she suffers from is poor coordination as that’s the part of brain they removed… Other than that, she’s perfectly fine! That family will definitely be in my thoughts/prayers for the time being.

there but for the grace of God…..I can’t even imagine what the parents are going through. But as I tell one of my friends at work who is going through cancer with her mom and poor health herself….If he brings you to it he’ll bring you through it. Thoughts and prayers to Emily and her family. Love and miss you toots!!!
