Vapid

I’m sorry if any of my readers have ever been touched by this particular issue in any way, but I’m annoyed and want to vent.

The T*oday Show had two women on who were telling their tale of woe.  They each met a guy on line (same guy) and ended up giving him $5,000 and $10,000 respectively.  The guy turned out to be a con artist.  I know, shocking.

Who are these vapid women (or people, it’s not just women) that meet some person on line and are so weak minded and willed that they give up thousands of dollars?  Seriously.  The interviewer asked the other guest, some internet security expert what people can do to protect themselves.

STOP BEING A VAPID IDIOT!!

If you meet someone on line don’t give them jack crap.  Who are these people that give people money, of all things?   I really thought this was common sense.  I’m starting to agree with Jake’s philosophy:

Remove all directions and warning labels from everything.   People with no common sense will eventually be taken care of.   Thinning the herd.

lol Ricky and I used to always discuss people we knew from HS or people we came across during college and the fact that we felt a bit of obligation to request they not contribute to the gene pool… This was just one of Ricky’s rule of thumbs… he also had the “it’s not arrogance if you know you’re better than them” rule… lol If you had gone to our HS and encountered so many people that just could care less, you would COMPLETELY understand why he felt that way…

People are dumb. But it gives me an idea and some hope that if I start to get really financially desperate there’s probably someone dumb enough out there to give me money for free… lol

I completely agree with you Kate! I caught the same thing this morning and definitely sat here wondering what the hell they were thinking.
