I’ve posted many more photos in the album for Merlin in the snow.  He loves it.  Stop by and take a look here.

Well, it’s finally stopped snowing.  All total, we got about 6-7 inches.  This is monumental snow fall for North Carolina.  You want proof?  I don’t have school again tomorrow.  The roads are absolutely horrific because the state isn’t equipped to handle snow fall like this.

The power came back on right around 11 this morning, so there were no real worries there.  Overall we fared well in the snow fall.  Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the state people to get the roads cleared up.  Oh, and it’s going to be 40 degrees out tomorrow, so much of this will be gone.

It’s a good thing about these days off; my back is in a bad, bad way right now and I need all the time I can get to rest and take care of it.  I took a bunch more pictures, mostly of Merlin out playing in the snow.  Here’s one to make you folks happy until I have the ambition to put all of them in the album in my gallery…

I woke up this morning and there was lots of fantastic snow!

The snow would be much, much awesomer if it hadn’t caused a power outage.  Three cheers for the south being 100% ill-equipped to handle snow.

The weatherman has been saying all day that it’s likely we’ll get 1-6 inches of snow.  This is exciting, although unlikely that we’ll see the 6 inches.  That’ll be more toward the Outer Banks.

However, it is confirmed that my whole county will have no school!  WOOHOO.

Coming from the north I find it incredibly surreal that they’re closing school the day before it’s supposed to snow 1-6 inches.  In New York, you didn’t know until the morning of a storm if school would be canceled.

This snow day is coming at a great time.  My back has gone out once again and I’m in great amounts of pain.  Another day of rest might have me to the point where I can walk.

He gets kinda’ pissy when one of us is home during the day.  I think it’s because it cuts into his QCT (quality couch time).  After today I’m beginning to think that part of it is because he watches TV when we’re not home…
