Save the TaTas
Last year I wanted very much to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I knew though that my back was in no shape for it… and neither was I. When I began my journey with WW, I promised myself that I would participate in the 5k as long as my back was healthy.
Today I not only participated, but I completed the 5k in under one hour.
I walked with Jenny, my very good friend from work. I’m not exaggerating when I say that she kept me going when I really wanted to give up.
There were thousands and thousands and thousands of people. It was incredibly inspiring.
I was very tired, but I felt amazing.
I am so proud of myself for keeping the promise I made to myself. Not only that, but I surpassed my goal; this morning I set a goal for doing this in one hour today. Doing it in under an hour (no matter how little under) makes me feel so fantastic about myself.
And now? Horseback riding at 6:15
