Counting Down
The countdown for Disney has officially begun. In 5 days (really? holy crap!) I will be packing up the car with my stuff, going and picking up Bethany and her stuff, and we will be heading to the sunny south for seven days in the happiest place on earth. Things that need to be done prior to then:
- New tires for my car… at least for the back. I will need new front ones after I get back…
- Oil change.
- Buy a couple more pairs of shorts
- Buy a new beach towel
- Sync my iPod
- Clean the house
- Shop for road trip snacks
- Pack (BLAH)
- Make an appointment for Merlin at the vet (check up, nails clipped, flea meds)
- Find a t-shirt to go with my yellow shorts (yes, yellow… ask Bethany about them!)
- Find a cover up to wear to the pool
- Buy two waterproof disposable cameras for Discovery Cove
I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things, but for right now this is enough to think about. I hope to get a great deal of this list checked off tomorrow morning before I go to Bethany’s to hang out by the pool. We’re having a ‘We Hate the Governor’ day because we’re not allowed to work at school tomorrow thanks to mandated furlough time. It’s fine for me, as all my stuff was done. For the teachers, it’s incredibly inconvenient.
Lots to do. I’m ready to get on the road and start having fun. One of my former coworkers went to Disney and posted pictures on Face*book. It got me pumped up.

We are already packed and ready to go. Just a few odds and ends that we have to pack last minute of Sean’s. We made the trek to Albany International yesterday, so Daddy could find out ahead of time where everything is. Only 4 days of work for both of us. /Sean has to work Thursday and Friday. I’m getting wicked excited.

Do you have a ROSS dress for less store anywhere near you? They have really good deals on shirts and stuff… and I found a coverup in the dress section… it’s like one of those dresses that’s all elastic on the top (strapless) but instead of being knee length, it’s mid calf length… I LOVE it because it’s easy to just throw on over my head, and get situated, and it’s light and airy so I can stay cool (a MUST in a TEXAS SUMMER!) You’re soooo lucky! I want to go to Disney World again someday… but unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll be til my nephew is 5!

Organization is so important… looks like you’ve got that covered, lol.
I’m like you – I have a HUGE list before going to Myrtle.
You are going to have a fabulous time at Disney, I’m so jealous!!!
