Fifty Thousand
I plan to write a more cohesive, all-encompassing entry at some point about how wonderful Thanksgiving was. Right now I am sick, and focusing on writing anything is taking way too much energy. I just wanted to share this…

The past few months have been not so great. They have been stressful, emotionally charged, and incredibly challenging. They have been a struggle to get through. Today I am so thankful for so many things. I have been thankful for the past two months.
I am thankful for an incredibly supportive and loving family that will do anything to help me when I’m down. They pick me up, dust me off, and prop me up until I can carry myself again. I wouldn’t be making it through without them.
I am thankful for a group of friends that will do absolutely anything in their power to get me through. They let me sleep in spare rooms, on couches, and in children’s bedrooms until I found a place. They took me apartment hunting all over the greater Johnston County area. They took me to movies and out to dinner to get my mind off of life. They rallied together and raised the money I needed to horseback ride. I will never be able to thank them enough for all that they have done for me. I am surrounded by the most beautiful, giving, and loving people I have ever known.
I am thankful for S and D, who are renting me this house. Their generosity is unparalleled, and I simply would not be able to do any of this without them. They are selfless, kind, caring, and so, so wonderful. They have become family away from home, which is an incredible thing.
I am thankful that things between Jake and I continue to remain positive, and that he is doing the things he’s doing to take care of himself. I am incredibly proud of him and have a lot of faith in him.
Life has been hard. I think it will continue along that way for quite some time, until everything is sorted out and settled. Through all of this I have remained thankful for all of these things. I know how lucky I am. I know that it could have all been so much worse if any of these things wasn’t there. So today, like every other day, I am so thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I had a riding lesson today, which was very exciting. My family is here and they haven’t seen me ride in about 10 years. My friend Tammie also came, something that means a whole lot to me. It was so nice to have so many people who care about me there to see it.
There are a ton of videos, and quite a few pictures…
You can see all the pictures HERE
There are several videos and I’m still going through which ones I want to upload to Vimeo. I have scanned through and picked the following.
This is my second fence in two months. Not too shabby.
Good Jump from Kate Moynihan on Vimeo.
The first time over in this next set isn’t so great, but the second and third are really good and I’m very proud of them.
One Bad, Two Good! from Kate Moynihan on Vimeo.
I’m very proud of my lesson today. I feel like I did some really good work, and had Missy going very well. It was definitely one of my best lessons in a long time.
There is a lot that must get done by the time my family gets here on Monday evening (2 days!!).
I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting. I need to organize some things in the living room, tidy up in the master bedroom and bathroom. Make sure all the towels in the guest bathroom are ready to go.
I’m so ready for my parents to get here.
It’s been a crazy busy, but good weekend. I babysat for my friend Tammie last night/this morning and had a great time with her two kids and her. I’ve been dog sitting at the same time for my riding instructor’s two adorable huskies. Now I’m waiting on Lyss and Ryan.
Back to work!
Several people have asked me questions about my new Flip. I’ve had it only for about 17 hours, but I think that I can write a cogent review of it based on my experience so far. Please note that I have not been compensated by Flip (or any of its counterparts) to compose this review in any way.
