Here’s a Question *edit*
How much do I charge someone who wants me to bake about 10 dozen buckeyes, 10 dozen cake balls, and 10 dozen sugar cookies with royal icing for their son’s wedding?
I’ve never baked for someone like that, and I’m unsure what would even be a fair price to give someone.
*edit*
In my research so far, I’ve found that most places charge about .50 cents each for buckeyes. It’s about the same for cake balls. Cookies go anywhere from .75 cents to $1.50. That would put the cost $180-$210. I’m not sure if I should factor in the time it will take to do all of this into the cost. Hrm.

my suggestion would be to go on line and see how much other people are charging for home made cookies and candies. and go from there

I agree with your mom. I’m not a great person to ask because the couple times I’ve made cakes or cupcakes for people/their events, it’s been for close friends, and I did not charge them. Although, I don’t think I’d ever do 100 cupcakes again for free… that was a bitch!

if the cost of $180-$210 covers the ingredients necessary for all cookies, and there is a decent amount left over I would view that as $ towards the time to make them. If those figures only cover the ingredients then by all means you are okay to add in $ to cover the time to make them. Are these all in place of a cake? What is the purpose of them with the wedding? If it is in place of a cake you still have room to charge for your time…email me more if you want to talk more in depth…
