Suffocating

You’re the air I breathe,
you keep me alive.
I see you and realize,
this too I shall survive.
I want to immerse myself,
sink into your sea.
I want to drown in you,
and maybe forget I’m me.
If I could disappear in you,
my absence would be blessed.
I lose myself in you anyway,
it’d be a sweet, sweet death.
I want to suffocate on you,
have you so close I can’t breathe.
Then I’ll always need you to resuscitate,
so you can never leave.
