Tangled
Laying in the grass
back wet from the dew
Stars are overhead
and I’m wrapped up in you.
Seems like we’ve been tangled
in each other from the start
Drawn in and tethered
unable to pull apart.
Don’t know what you see there
looking in my eyes
Seems you know everything in my head
so there would be no surprise.
I can still taste your mouth
I can still feel your hands
Memories come flooding in
and I cannot understand
How we got so tangled.
